Yes! It's so nice and also quite subtle, found it perfect for "non-artistic" portraits etc. The lens with the most beautiful, utterly smooth, low-contrast, painterly, cinema-lens-like out-of-focus backgrounds I have ever encountered is. (The last may be a bit oval shaped wide open but nothing like the actual swirly bokeh lenses.) The Contax-Zeiss 28-85 f3.3-4 (namely at the long end). SWIRLY BOKEH LENS CANON MANUAL
Manual focus lenses mainly from Minolta, Pentax, Voigtlaender, Leitz, Topcon and from Russia (too many to be listed here). Minolta MC 58/1.2 and 85/1.7 come to my mind but there are many more. Can't really say whether I have a favorite one. There are many lenses which provide that.

Location: Mid North Coast NSW - AustraliaĪnd one that I would love to own but never will The depth of field is so shallow that I really have to pay attention to my back and forth movement while focusing, because the least amount of movement on my part can result in an out-of-focus shot. They're a lot of fun to shoot with wide open, but they can also be a challenge.
